New Year and New Adventures!

Sorry it’s been a while since my last blog post — but hey, it was the holidays!

So far, 2026 has been off to a great start. I’m learning so much, even now, almost a year after publishing my first book — which still surprises me in the best way.

Book 3 is currently with the editor, and Book 4 is out with beta readers, so behind the scenes I’ve been planning events for the year ahead and doing a bit of research into what images and videos resonate most with new readers. It’s been fascinating, and I’m enjoying the learning curve.

I’ve also been getting more hands-on with uploading and updating my books on KDP — something I previously outsourced. There’s a lot more to it than you might expect, but now that I’m more familiar with the process, it feels like the right time to learn this side of things properly. I’m especially grateful to Karen at Mabel and Stanley Publishing for her support along the way.

Every day really is a school day as an indie author — but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
