Ready, steady ... edit!

Well, it’s been a while since I posted anything so I thought I would bring you all up to date on where I am with my first book, One More Try. January has been very much about editing, editing and a bit more editing, with a fair bit of research thrown in too! I never knew there was so much to it and it’s amazing everything that has to be considered like fonts, spacing, indents, chapters – naming or not. I looked through a lot of my favourite books and couldn’t believe how different some of them were and most surprising of all was that I didn’t even notice at the time of reading, or not that I remember anyway! So, apologies to all authors for that, I promise I will from now on!

I’ve been spending a lot of time at the library, my favourite place to edit, so I have plenty of resources for doing research on books. It’s great to have a place where there’s no distractions, as much as I love being at home, there’s no housework that is shouting at me or cats who would like fed whenever it suits them rather than me!

Anyway, I don’t have a date yet for release of the book, it’s looking like early to mid-March now, but I’ll keep everyone posted of course and bring regular updates.
